HE the Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali has honoured Radio Malayalam 98.6FM for one of its programmes highlighting the achievements of Qatar during the last one year of economic blockade.
The award was conferred on the basis of a recent Radio Listenership Measurement Study carried out among the country’s Indian population by an international media rating agency.
The ministry also honoured the radio for its special video on blockade anniversary and also for its excellent coverage of the Amir Cup 2018, according to a statement.
The minister presented the award to the radio at a function in his office where Radio Malayalam vice chairman K C Abdul Latheef received the award.
Radio Licensing Department director Sheikha Najla al-Thani, Print and Publicity Department director Hamad Zakeeba, Radio Malayalam marketing manager Noufal Abdurahman and staff members were present on the occasion.
