Dr Yousuf al-Maslamani, medical director of Hamad General Hospital (HGH) and director of the Qatar Center for Organ Transplantation at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), has been elected vice president of the Middle East Society for Organ Transplantation (Mesot) for a two-year term.

Saad al-Kaabi and Noé Van Hulst were among the distinguished individuals recognised at the commemorative 5th anniversary "Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Energy Awards" for lifetime achievement.
