The event brings together several celebrities from India.
Indian actor Aftab Shivdasani has arrived in Qatar to crown the 13th May Queen.
The crowning will be part of the 13th Annual May Queen Ball organised by the Goan Welfare Association (GWA), which will be held at Radisson Blu Hotel from 8.30pm today.
Shivdasani arrived in Qatar along with the band Forefront, Indian director Glen Barretto, Angelo Braganza, producer of Konkani film Nachoea Kumpasar, and compere Updesh Swar. Guests and participants from other Gulf countries will arrive today.
Tickets to the event are no longer available, said GWA president Simon D’Silva. Indian Ambassador Sanjiv Arora will be the chief guest at the event.
The organisations partnering the event include Qatari Industrial Equipment (main sponsor), Qatar Airways (official airline), Doha Bank (official bank), Radisson Blu Doha (official hotel), Gulf Colours (official video/photography), Gulf Times (official media partner) and Daijiworld.com (official web partner).
