The Municipality of Al Khor and Al Zakhira in collaboration with Al Khor and Al Zakhira Wildlife Unit and the Public Cleaning Department has cleared a site where garbage was found dumped near a gas pipeline. A board in three languages was installed to warn people against throwing garbage near gas pipelines. The site is being monitored by the Wildlife Unit.
The Public Cleaning Department section for Islands and Beaches conducted a number of cleaning campaigns last week covering the beach parallel to Abu Samra Road. It also cleaned Al Safiliyah Island as well as Al Wakrah Port and Beach.
