Inspectors from the Health Control Section at Doha Municipality detected a violation yesterday evening when they found foodstuff - meant for a restaurant - stored in a workers’ accommodation unit in the Fereej Kulaib area of Doha.
A violation report was accordingly issued and the offenders were referred to the Public Prosecution for necessary legal action.
The inspectors found chicken, fish and meat stored at the above-mentioned place without details such as their expiry date and source, while some changes also seemed to have taken place in the physical attributes of these products, according to a press statement.
The items, prepared and stored in unhygienic conditions, were found unfit for human consumption and constituted a violation of food control regulations.
The General Control Section at Al Khor and Al Thakhira Municipality conducted a campaign to find and remove abandoned vehicles from August 1 until September 11. The campaign resulted in the removal of several such vehicles.
