Qatar participated in the 20th meeting for GCC ministers in charge of municipality affairs, which took place at the headquarters of the GCC general secretariat in Riyadh. HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi chaired Qatar’s delegation to the meeting. The meeting discussed a number of issues, including the GCC municipal work award, strategic urban planning, municipal databases, the general secretariat’s proposal in relation to sustainable development goals (2020-2030), the development of municipal training centres, and municipal work conferences.
