Qatar residents are coming out with several innovative methods to show solidarity with the nation in the light of the prevailing diplomatic crisis that arose with some countries severing ties on June 5.
Several companies have started providing their staff with T-shirts featuring national symbols and messages as well as the picture of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani.
The social media is abuzz with several topics in support of Qatar and its stand on present situation and several hashtags are trending highlighting huge support for the nation. Large number of residents have already changed the profile picture of their social media accounts to national symbols or messages.
Many are displaying the picture of HH the Emir on their vehicles as well as their residential premises. Large cutouts of HH the Emir are put up at several locations around the country. The national flag is draped over many residential buildings.
An employee of a private photo studio near Msherib area said that they are expressing solidarity with the country by wearing T-shirts with the pictures of national leadership. “We want to show our support to the government of Qatar and the HH the Emir. All our employees have been wearing the T-shirt with the picture of HH the Emir. Though we are expatriates, many of have been living in this country for years and we are fully committed to this great nation,” he said.
He also noted that their company has got orders from many organisations to print similar T-shirts. "We have orders from a number of companies for T-shirts in large numbers. They give us the suitable message and pictures to be printed," he added.
Another long term resident from the Indian subcontinent said that all the people of the country are united in supporting the nation.“We all are supporting this nation and we will be always ready to offer all services for the nation. I have lived here more years than I spent in my home country. These are the times we have to show our strength and support for this nation,” he added.
