A diverse range of breathtaking shows and activities enthralled visitors to the Summer Entertainment City at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre over the weekend.
The Human African Acrobat show and a performance by noted Kuwaiti Redbull BMX athlete Mansour al-Safran were among the highlights of the events last weekend at the City, according to QSports vice chairman Ghanim al-Mohannadi.
“The Dunking Devils returned once again to the City,” he told Gulf Times, adding that a female member was leading the team.
The Dunking Devils are an acrobatic basketball team that has been entertaining and thrilling audiences for more than 10 years, performing at more than 900 shows in 35 countries across five continents.

“This week focused on the healthy lifestyle of women as the Qatar Women's Sport Committee organised the women's basketball 3x3 tournament over the weekend,” al-Mohannadi said.
Preview of the shows and sports competitions are also posted on the City’s Facebook page.
More than 87 interactive and exciting activities for all ages, including the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course, BMX biking, and skateboardig, also continue to entertain and thrill residents who spend their free time and weekend at the City, the centrepiece of the annual Qatar Summer Festival.
A number of contests such as the “Take a Picture of the Events” saw visitors participating by sharing their photos, liking a post on Facebook and answering some questions from the organisers. Winners get exciting prizes like hotel and spa vouchers.
The City has also lined up new events and activities in the coming weekend such as the Grand Parades on August 18 and 19, and a concert with Jona Viray and Gloc-9, two popular Filipino artistes on September 2.
