Civil Aviation Authority chief meets ICAO official
Chairman of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority Abdullah bin Nasser Turki al-Subaie met in Montreal yesterday with Secretary-General of International Civil Aviation Organisation Fang Liu and handed him a written message from HE the Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti, related to the latest developments of civil aviation in the region. The two sides then discussed aviation safety in the region, and agreed on its importance and the importance of increasing efficiency in that regard. Al-Subaie also held separate meetings with representatives of the African Union, and South America to ICAO.

Macron visits Qatar section at book fair
French President Emmanuel Macron inaugurated yesterday the 38th edition of Paris Book Fair, with more than 1,250 publishing houses participating from across the globe. He visited the Qatari section in the presence of Qatar’s ambassador to France Dr Khalid bin Rashid al-Mansori, HE Permanent Representative of Qatar to Unesco Ali Zainal, and a number of officials from the Ministry of Culture and Sports. The ministry will present its published works, particularly ones translated to and from French.
