Barwa Bank announced the names of its April’s draw winners for Thara’a, its Shari’ah compliant savings account.
Ahmad Mohd al-Mohannadi and Sumaya Mehdar Alyafei each won a cash prize of QR50,000.
A cash prize worth QR25,000 was awarded to Abdulrahman Mohamed Fakhroo and Hessa Saleh Alaqili, respectively.
The draw was conducted under the supervision of a representative of the qualitative license and market control department at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
Thara’a offers account holders the chance to benefit from cash rewards up to QR1mn, a first for Islamic banks in Qatar.
Based on several criteria, Thara’a account holders are eligible for a number of periodic draws for cash prizes.
Totalling QR3.3mn, Thara’a cash rewards are distributed on both monthly and biannual basis to customers.
Monthly, Barwa bank rewards 21 winners per draw for the cash prize of QR5,000 for each, as well as two winners per-draw for QR 10,000 per winner.
Twice-a-year, the bank gives two winners of QR25,000 per draw , two winners of QR50,000 per draw and one winner for the grand prize of QR1mn. As such, Barwa bank rewards 194 winners in total with cash prizes up to QR3.3mn.
Thara’a offers account holders access to Barwa Bank’s innovative banking channels, with benefits including unlimited withdrawals and deposits, as well as free fund transfers across their accounts and through all Barwa Bank channels.
