Amir congratulates Turkish president
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has a sent cable of congratulations to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his election as head of the Justice and Development Party (AK), wishing him success and the brotherly Turkish people further progress and prosperity. His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have also sent similar cables to President Erdogan.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani sent yesterday a cable of congratulations to Imran Khan on his swearing-in as the prime minister of Pakistan, wishing him success in his duties and the relations between the two countries more progress and prosperity. His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also sent similar cables to Imran Khan.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani sent yesterday cables of condolences to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind on the victims of the floods which swept the State of Kerala, wishing the injured a speedy recovery. HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also sent a similar cable to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

368 mosques, prayer grounds for Eid
The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has prepared 368 mosques and prayer grounds across the country for Eid al-Adha prayers. Of this 70 mosques and prayer grounds will have places reserved for women. The ministry announced that Eid prayers will be performed at 5:25am.
