Workers of Costa Rica oil refinery Recope demonstrate in Cartago during an indefinite strike. Trade unions from Costa Rica’s public sector began the strike on September 10, in opposition to a tax reform project which would mean an increase in levies to face the bulky fiscal deficit. Due to the strike, gasoline is scarce in many gas stations across the country.
