*HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani and Romanian Prime Minister Vasilica Viorica Dancila chair official talks
Qatar and Romania on Tuesday signed two memoranda of understanding and an agreement following a session of official talks chaired by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani and the visiting Romanian Prime Minister Vasilica Viorica Dancila at the Amiri Diwan.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the bilateral relations and ways of developing and strengthening them in various fields, in addition to reviewing regional and international developments of common concern, especially developments in the region.
Following the talks session, HE the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior and the Romanian prime minister witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding for co-operation in the field of diplomatic training between the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Institute of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an agreement on co-operation in the field of tourism between the governments of Qatar and Romania, as well as a memorandum of understanding for co-operation in agriculture between the Ministry of Municipality and Environment of Qatar and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Romania.
The official talks session, and the agreement/MoU signing ceremony were attended by a number of ministers, and members of delegation accompanying the Romanian prime minister.
On the occasion, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani and the Romanian prime minister held a bilateral meeting during which they reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest.
Later, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Romanian prime minister and the accompanying delegation.
