Qatar is fast emerging as a hub for fashion, attracting many internationally-renowned designers who want to showcase their collections at several exhibitions and shows in Doha.
“The fashion scene in Qatar is very forward, and especially in women’s wear I think they are very adventurous and like to stand out and I love that,” said Manish Arora, known as one of the most celebrated and inspiring contemporary Indian designers in the fashion world.
"With Fifty One East, being one of the best retailers, I don’t think Qatar is behind anybody in fashion,” he told Gulf Times at an exclusive preview of his X PSG’s (Paris Saint-German) SS19 capsule collection recently at Fifty One East, Lagoona Mall, following a successful launch at Paris Fashion Week.
The event was attended by Fifty One East chairman and managing director Bader Abdullah al-Darwish, PSG players Marco Verratti and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, and several other guests.
