After a cold spell that began last weekend, the Qatar Met department has said temperatures are expected to increase around the country from Thursday. The rise in mercury level will be due to the effect of southeasterly-southerly winds, which will peak on Saturday and Sunday when the maximum temperature is likely to touch 29C in Doha and the early 30Cs in the central parts of the country, the department said in a tweet Tuesday morning. Wednesday's detailed forecast says misty conditions will prevail in some places early in the morning, followed by moderate temperature during the day and some clouds. The night will be cold. Some clouds are likely in offshore areas.

A minimum temperature of 10C is expected in Wakrah and Mesaieed Wednesday, followed by 11C in Abu Samra, 12C in Al Khor, 15C in Doha, and and 17C in Dukhan and Ruwais.
The maximum, on the other hand, will be 20C in Abu Samra, 21C in Ruwais, 22C in Dukhan, 23C in Doha and Al Khor, and 24C in Wakrah and Mesaieed, the weather report shows.
