HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Ali bin Ahmed al- Kuwari held separate meetings with ministers and top executives on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2019 now being held in Davos, Switzerland.
These included meetings with Maxim Oreshkin, Russia’s Minister for Economic Development; Dr Ali bin Masoud al-Sunaidi, Oman’s Minister of Commerce and Industry; Francis Gurry, director general of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), and Arancha Gonzalez, executive director of the International Trade Centre (ITC).
Al-Kuwari also met with CEOs of major international companies and financial institutions, including Mark Allen, vice president, Boeing; Frederic Oudea, CEO, Societe Generale, and Andrey Kostin, chairman, Russia’s VTB Bank.
Discussions touched on the promotion of bilateral relations as well as the development of joint co-operation, particularly in the fields of trade, investment and industry. Officials also exchanged views on the topics featured in the forum’s agenda.
