Al Khor and Al Thakhira Municipality has decided to open all parks within its jurisdiction for families without any entrance fees on Tuesday, on the occasion of Qatar National Sport Day, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) said on Monday.
The parks include Al Khor Park, Al Khor Plaza, Al Qarma, Al Kaaban and Al Thakhira, among others. Meanwhile, the MME has invited the public to take part in its National Sport Day activities at the Katara Corniche, from 8am to 5pm.
The sporting activities at Katara will see the participation of the ministry's employees and their family members, while various events have also been lined up across different municipalities to mark the occasion.
Through its participation in the annual celebration, the MME seeks to encourage its employees, their families as well as the general public to engage in sporing activities and them an integral part of their daily lives, the statement notes.Last updated: February 11 2019 10:31 PM
