QNB has announced its participation as a ‘Diamond Sponsor’ in the Tarsheed Carnival organised by the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) until February 28 at the Kahramaa Awareness Park in Al Thumama.
The week-long carnival is a national programme for water conservation and energy efficiency. The main goal of the carnival is to raise awareness about rational use of electricity and water to achieve water and electric sustainability.
The carnival will include many events and awareness activities during morning and evening sessions.
Tarsheed is the National Programme for the Conservation and Energy Efficiency, which aims to reduce water consumption per capita by 15% and electricity by 8% by 2022. QNB’s participation in this event comes as part of both its CSR programme and its recently launched sustainability programme, in which the bank aligned its sustainability goals with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and the Qatar Stock Exchange guidance on sustainable initiatives.
QNB Group, which is the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa will continue to support sustainability initiatives in Qatar and throughout the markets in which it operates.
