51 militants of the Taliban militants were killed and 22 others wounded during the operations of the Afghan Special Forces and the Afghan Air Force airstrikes in the past 48 hours.
‘In the past 48 hours, the 205th Corps, along with the Afghan Air Force and Afghan special forces have killed 51 insurgents in Zabul, Kandahar and Uruzgan, the Afghan news agency Khaama Press quoting a statement by the 205th Atal Corps as saying.
The statement further added that in Arghandab, Zabul and Shah Wali Kot, Kandahar these high profile strikes killed 45 insurgents, injured 22 and resulted in the destruction of multiple weapons and motorcycles.
The 205th Corps destroyed 6 insurgents along with weapons and vehicles in Tarin Kot and Derahwod Districts.
The Afghan army, backed by international forces led by the United States intensified operations against armed groups, particularly the Taliban movement and the ISIS especially in the southern and northern regions of the country. (QNA)
