A night of laughter and entertainment is in store at Al Mayassa Theatre, Qatar National Convention Centre, where ‘Johnny Lever Live’ will be staged on March 28 featuring the well-known Indian actor and comedian.
The event will be held as part of Desi Comedy Nights 2019, hosted by Millennium Entertainment.
Desi Comedy Nights 2019 will be held in collaboration with Doha’s popular comedian, Hamad al-Amari, and in association with Atique Ajmeri from Final Touch Entertainment India.
Johnny Lever is one of the most noted comedians in Hindi cinema. One of the first standup comedians in India, he has received 13 Filmfare Awards nominations for Best Performance in a Comic Role, and has won the award twice, for his work in Deewana Mastana (1997) and Dulhe Raja (1998).
He began his career in 1984 and has acted in more than 300 Bollywood films.
He will be accompanied by his talented daughter, Jamie, as well as comedian Gaurav Sharma.
Jamie Lever has performed at The Comedy Store, Mumbai, from 2012 as a standup comedian. She also performed on Comedy Circus Ke Mahabali on Sony Entertainment Television in 2013 also hosted various shows.
The laughter session on March 28 will last for three hours starting at 8pm, the organisers have said in a statement. Doors will open at 6pm for the main event.
