Amir condoles with Iraqi leaders
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani on Thursday sent cables to Iraqi President Dr Barham Salih and Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, expressing condolences after a ferry sank in the Tigris river in Mosul in northern Iraq, killing at least 80 people.
They wished the injured a speedy recovery. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also sent a similar cable of condolences to the Iraqi Prime Minister.
Amir holds phone talk with Spain's king
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on Thursday held a telephone a conversation with King Felipe VI of Spain on bilateral relations and means to promote and develop them.
The two leaders also discussed a host of issues of common concern.
