21 High st, described as an “exquisite outdoor shopping destination”, has opened at Katara – the Cultural Village.Operated by Ali Bin Ali Holding, 21 High st is “a hub of luxury and elegance, where retail meets and complements culture and art”, according to a press statement.
“Qatar’s journey to becoming a key regional retail destination took a major leap forward with the opening of 21 High st, the exquisite outdoor shopping destination,” the statement noted. “Set in a prestigious location in the heart of Katara, 21 High st is designed to be a multi-dimensional project – reiterating the commitment to Qatar’s tourism and commercial progress.”
Spread over almost 40,000sq m, 21 High st comprises multiple “first-of-a-kind” features in Qatar.
It is home to luxury, fashion, watches and jewellery brands from all around the world, including iconic French department store Galeries Lafayette, and is a fashion lover’s paradise. It also houses international restaurant and café chains.
21 High st also features a spa and salon, gourmet retail outlets, a food hall, terraces and offices, “making the experience very special”.
With a luxury hotel lined up for opening soon, the Street “promises to be much more than a shopping destination”, the statement points out.
The 15,000sqm French department store, Galeries Lafayette, brings the Parisian lifestyle to Qatar with a wide range of fashion, luxury goods, accessories, perfumes, cosmetics and exclusive restaurant brands.
21 High st is a unique open-air shopping destination in Qatar presenting visitors with a comfortably cool outdoor environment in which to shop and dine while enjoying their favourite activities throughout the year despite the soaring temperatures that may prevail during summer.
“With its architecture presenting an intriguing mix of classical European style and local traditional heritage, 21 High st complements the Katara theme – ‘where classical architecture and traditional heritage blend into the here and now’,” the statement adds.
