The temperature is expected to gradually rise in the coming days, reaching its peak on February 8 when the maximum may exceed 30C in some areas due to a shift in wind direction to southerly, the Qatar Met department has said.
After that, the temperature is expected to drop again from February 9 as northwesterly fresh to strong winds will return to the country, the weather office said in a post on social media on Tuesday.
The average maximum temperature in Doha during the month of February is 23.4C, while the minimum is 14.4C.
Wednesday's forecast says moderate temperature is expected during the day along with scattered clouds and a weak chance of light rain in some places. It will be relatively cold by night.
The minimum temperature on Wednesday is expected to be 10C in Wakrah and Mesaieed, 11C in Abu Samra, 13C in Dukhan and 16C in Doha, Al Khor and Ruwais. The maximum, on the other hand, will range from 21C in Ruwais to 26C in Abu Samra, with Doha expected to see a high of 23C.
