Head of the Islamic Community and Grand Mufti of Kosovo Shaikh Naim Ternava and his accompanying delegation visited the General Directorate of Endowments, as part of his current visit to Qatar.
The visit aimed to learn about the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in areas of Islamic work and the Qatari experience in the field of endowments, and to enhance the co-operation with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
The Kosovo delegation met during the visit with Director-General of the General Directorate of Endowments Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Thani, and a number of directors and heads of departments at the directorate.
Director-general of the General Directorate of Endowments welcomed the guest and the accompanying delegation, and gave a presentation on the directorate, the various stages it went through, the electronic programmes and systems used, management of Qatar’s endowments and its leading role in community service.
The head of the Islamic Community and Grand Mufti of Kosovo Shaikh Naim Ternava highlighted the history of endowments in the Balkans and the efforts made in the field of endowment.
He thanked the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Qatar for its support to Kosovo at various levels, and praised the achievements made by the Qatari Endowments for the advancement of the endowment work. He stressed the keenness of the Islamic community of Kosovo on developing the relations with Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. - QNA
