His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on Thursday met at the Amiri Diwan the new Secretary General of the Gulf Co-operation Council, Dr Nayef bin Falah al-Hajraf.
The Amir congratulated the secretary-general, wishing him well in his role to serve the joint interests of the people of GCC countries, and stressed Qatar's commitment to the unity of the GCC.
For his part, the secretary-general expressed his thanks and appreciation for the Amir, and for Qatar's role in supporting the Council.
