As part of the restrictions that have been introduced to tackle the evolving COVID-19 situation, the Heart Hospital Emergency Department will no longer be open to public access from Sunday, HMC has announced Saturday.
The Heart Hospital will continue to provide care to patients with emergency cardiac conditions, but will not accept walk-in patients.
Any patient requiring urgent treatment can visit a Primary Health Care Corporation Urgent Care Clinic or one of HMC’s main Emergency Departments, HMC said in a statement.
Heart Hospital cardiologists will be present in all HMC Emergency Departments to ensure patients with emergency heart conditions are receiving the very best care right across the hospital system, HMC said.
