The rainy weather in the coming days is expected to be accompanied by a significant drop in temperature compared to the previous days, the Qatar Met department has tweeted.
Monday's forecast says thundershowers are expected in some places along with sudden strong winds.
Offshore areas, too, are likely to see thundery rain, windy conditions and high seas on Monday, the weather report states.
The maximum temperature on Monday is likely to be 29C in Doha (compared to 38C on Saturday and 31C on Sunday), 26C in Wakra (compared to 33C on Saturday and 28C on Sunday), 26C in Mesaieed (compared to 35C on Saturday and 31C on Sunday), 26C in Dukhan (compared to 36C on Saturday and 28C on Sunday), 26C in Abu Samra (compared to 41C on Saturday and 28C on Sunday), 25C in Al Khor (compared to 39C on Saturday and 30C on Sunday), and 24C in Ruwais (compared to 38C on Saturday and 25C on Sunday), the weather charts show.
The minimum, on the other hand, will be 22C in Abu Samra on Monday (compared to 27C on Saturday and 25C on Sunday), 22C in Dukhan (compared to 28C on Saturday and 25C on Sunday), 22C in Ruwais (compared to 25C on Saturday and 24C on Sunday), 23C in Al Khor (compared to 27C on Saturday and 26C on Sunday), 24C in Wakra (compared to 27C on Saturday and 26C on Sunday), 24C in Mesaieed (compared to 29C on Saturday and 26C on Sunday) and 25C in Doha (compared to 31C on Saturday and 27C on Sunday).
The wind speed may go up to 35 knots offshore and 30 knots inshore during thundery rain on Monday, with the sea level rising to 13ft at times.
In general, it will be cloudy and scattered rain is expected, which may become thundery in some places. Slight to blowing dust is also forecast at times.
The Met department had recently said in a report that unsettled weather conditions are expected in the country along with a chance of thunderstorms from Sunday night until the coming weekend.
