This advanced service enables collection of blood plasma from people who have recovered from the infection of the coronavirus and transfusing it to people with the disease who are currently receiving treatment. The antibodies present in the blood plasma taken from the recovered people can help patients undergoing treatment to enhance their resistance to the virus.
During the visit to the new clinic, HE the Minister of Public Health met a person recovering from the virus , who is also plasma donor, and discussed with him his experience regarding infection and his recovery from this disease.
During her visit to the Qatar Rehabilitation Center, she reviewed two of the main services provided at the center under the supervision of the medical director of Rumailah Hospital and Qatar Rehabilitation Center Dr Hanadi al-Hamad, and visited a gymnasium at the center, and examined part of a training session for a small number of the elderly patients.
