Qatar players during a practice session yesterday, ahead of their 2021 FIBA Asia Cup 5×5 Qualifier Group E match against Syria at the Al Gharafa Basketball Arena on Saturday. The other teams in the Qatar group are Iran, Iraq and Thailand. The top two teams in the 
standings of each of the six groups at the end of the qualifiers will play for FIBA Asia Cup 2021. The third-placed teams in each group will then proceed to play in a separate tournament to determine the remaining four teams that will complete the 16-team field of FIBA Asia Cup 2021.
