Light rain was reported from parts of Qatar, including Doha, in the early hours yesterday. This was followed by cloudy conditions at times later in the day. Today’s forecast says thundery rain is expected in offshore areas towards the north along with strong winds and high seas. The wind speed may go up to 22 knots, with the sea level rising to 7ft during thundery rain. The Met department has advised people to be careful and avoid marine activities. Inshore, moderate daytime temperature is expected and it will be partly cloudy with a chance of scattered rain in some places.
