Al Markhiya Gallery, located at Katara – the Cultural Village, will host Part 2 of the Process exhibition from tomorrow until January 8, 2021.
The exhibition will present the artistic vision of an elite group of artists, according to a report in local Arabic daily Arrayah.
Process Part 2 will feature the works of Haitham al-Hamad, Salem Mathkour, Wadha al-Sulaiti, and Jameela al-Ansari.
The gallery hours are from 9am-7pm. It is housed in the Katara Art Center.
According to a description of the exhibition, Process Part 2 is the “second edition of curated group showcases, continuing our aim of shedding light on the realities of the artistic process”.
“For many of us, the act of creating beautiful works of art seems magical; Process II gives audiences a glimpse into the reality of what this magic really consists of” – a combination of research, contemplation, talent, time, etc.
The exhibition is divided into four sections, each of which includes works that have their own specificities in terms of content and techniques.
An official from the gallery said they seek to reinforce the plastic arts movement in Qatar.
By holding many exhibitions on plastic arts that celebrate the experiences of Qatari and resident artists, the event organisers aim to enhance their communication with the audience.
