It will continue to get cooler in Doha as the minimum temperature is expected to drop to 17C on Tuesday, the weather report showed.
The Met department on Monday said strong winds are again expected in places around the country at times on Tuesday, while also forecasting similar conditions offshore along with high seas.
The wind (northwesterly) speed may go up to 30 knots offshore and 25 knots inshore at times on Tuesday, with the sea level rising to 9ft occasionally.
The detailed report says moderate daytime temperature is expected on Tuesday with scattered clouds and blowing dust in some places at times, and it will be relatively cold by night. Offshore areas will see some clouds.
The minimum temperature is expected to be 16C in Al Khor on Tuesday, while it will be 17C in Doha, Wakra, Mesaieed and Abu Samra, and 20C in Dukhan and Ruwais.
Monday, Abu Samra, Sheehaniya, Mukaynis and some other places recorded a low of 17C, followed by Wakra, Mesaieed, Al Khor and the Qatar University area, etc, at 18C, and Doha (airport area), Hamad International Airport, Mesaimeer, etc, at 19C, the weather charts showed.
On the other hand, a maximum temperature of 25C is expected on Tuesday in Doha, Wakra and Mesaieed, followed by 24C in Al Khor, 23C in Ruwais and Abu Samra, and 22C in Dukhan.
The Met department had earlier forecast a cold spell in the country this week.
