Mowasalat (Karwa) and QNB Group have collaborated towards enhancing Mobile Payment via Apple Pay and Google Pay, Mowasalat announced on Saturday.
The launching of Apple Pay and Google Pay is an important step by Mowasalat (Karwa) and QNB to promote payment through smart devices, according to a statement
It secures payments using Touch ID or Face ID on compatible iOS and Android devices. Customers with already activated Apple and Google Pay accounts will be able to pay their Mowasalat (Karwa)’s Taxi and Limousine rides through the system, until the service is approved for local banks, too.
Under this partnership, Mowasalat (Karwa) is the first merchant to enable this service in Qatar while QNB will become the Mastercard Payment Gateway Services provider offering it's customers mobile payment solutions that are compatible with the best international standards, the statement said.
"Customers are at the very heart of our business, and this initiative comes within our ongoing efforts that we started with the brand new Karwa Taxi App," pointed out Fahad Saad al-Qahtani, Mowasalat (Karwa) CEO."
"We constantly embrace more digital solutions to make our services easily and safely available for all," he added.
