The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME)’s Public Parks Department, in co-operation with the embassy of Croatia in Doha, has held a tree-planting event at New Salata Park. A number of trees suitable for the local environment and climate were planted as part on the initiative to plant 1mn trees in the country, the MME said. The event was attended by Dr Drago Lovric, ambassador of Croatia to Qatar, and Nasser Darwish from Doha Municipality’s Gardens Section, in addition to other officials from both sides.
