Safari Group chairman and prominent Gulf businessman Abubacker Madappat's brother and former Qatar resident Hamza Madappat (58) has passed away in Kerala.
He was the son of the late Madappat Khader and Khadeeja from the famous Madappat family of Marancheri at Malappuram district in Kerala. Hamza Madappat is survived by his wife Zahira and children Shias, Hasna and Safna and sons-in-law Jishar and Fidas.
After living in Qatar for a long time, Hamza Madappat was at his native place in Kerala due to health problems. He was a partner in Oscar Advertising, a sister company of the Safari Group in Doha. He was also an active member of the Marancheri Pravasi Koottayam (Mapco Qatar) and active in various charitable social activities in Marancheri panchayath.
The burial took place in Kodancherry Juma Masjid graveyard. Many leaders and socio-cultural figures offered their condolences.
