Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) president P N Baburajan, Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) president Ziad Osman and Indian Sports Centre (ISC) president Dr Mohan Thomas were recently felicitated by Moodadi Panchayat Pravasi Association Qatar
(MPPAQ).
Management committee members Sabit Shaheer, Sheji Valiyakath, and Radio Malayalam FM 98.6 marketing manager Nauphal also participated in the event.
MPPAQ president Raman Nair chaired the event.
Acting general secretary Shanahas Edodi welcomed the gathering. Ashraf K P (Wellcare), Shaji Peeves, V P Basheer, M T Hamid and O A Karim also spoke. Baburajan unveiled the new logo of MPPAQ and said that the new position gives him an impetus to serve the Indian expat community. Ziad Osman said that he would sincerely utilise his capacity to resolve issues faced by the Indian community.
Dr Mohan Thomas said ISC was preparing a number of new projects including sports competitions to bring the Indian community to the mainstream of Qatar sports and would try to make the upcoming FIFA World Cup a good experience for the Indian expatriates.
MPPAQ treasurer Ahmed Moodadi expressed the vote of thanks.
