There have been no changes to the country's entry restrictions as per the Qatari government's rules and regulations, Qatar Airways said on Wednesday.
Stressing this in a 'Public Information Alert' on social media, the airline said: "Any news declaring that only Qatari nationals are allowed entry to Qatar are untrue and residents are encouraged to check the validity of all information through the correct sources. Discover Qatar is aware of false images of their website circulating that have been modified by external parties to spread untrue information."
"For details about the process for returning to Qatar, details of the countries designated as low-risk and quarantine measures in place, visit the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) website or Qatar Portal website," the statement continued.
"As the safety and security of our travellers and staff is important to us, all leisure sales for hotels, tours and excursions booking have been suspended up to and including May 31," it added.
In a related development, the Cabinet on Wednesday said the current travel, return and quarantine policies would continue to apply, with the MoPH periodically updating the Covid-19 'Green List' countries, QNA reported.
