For passengers departing Saudi Arabia, Qatar Airways said it operates daily flights from Riyadh, four weekly flights from Jeddah and daily flights from Dammam to Hamad International Airport in Doha. Passengers in Saudi Arabia will have the ability to connect to more than 120 destinations worldwide, it added.
Saudi Arabia had on Tuesday announced that it was suspending entry to the kingdom for travellers coming from 20 countries, with the exception of diplomats, Saudi citizens, medical practitioners and their families, to help curb the spread of the coronavirus, the state news agency had reported. The temporary ban, effective from yesterday, includes people arriving from the UAE, Germany, US, Britain, South Africa, France, Egypt, Lebanon, India and Pakistan, among others.
