The study, according to a MME statement, is being conducted by a team of expert researchers, including the Water Environment Quality Section head Ali Jassim al-Kuwari. A number of representatives of QU-ESC are also part of the team. “The importance of the trip lies in monitoring the marine environment of the country's territorial waters and the latest biological, chemical or physical variables," al-Kuwari said. Samples will be collected from within the country's marine waters and from different depths and away from the shore compared to the previous programmes implemented near the shore. “This will result in accurate and excellent results about the marine condition,” he added.
