The Ministry of Justice is participating in the ninth edition of Cityscape Qatar 2021, which kicked off on Sunday and will conclude Tuesday.
The conference is taking place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
The Ministry's pavilion at the exhibition presents the various services provided by the Ministry to the real estate sector, as well as the latest legal publications related to real estate brokerage, real estate registration and documentation services, and the facilities provided in the framework of the implementation of cabinet decision No 28 of 2020, determining the areas in which non-Qatari citizens may own real estate, and the conditions, controls, benefits and procedures for their ownership and use of it.
On this occasion, HE the Minister of Justice Masoud bin Mohamed al-Ameri visited the Ministry's pavilion, during which he was briefed on the overall services provided to visitors to the exhibition, and listened to explanations about the nature of these services from those in charge of the pavilion, and the role they contribute to introducing the new facilities and services introduced by the ministry's registration and documentation departments.
These come as part of the government's efforts to improve the business environment and enhance the investment attractiveness of the real estate sector in the country.
During the visit of HE the Minister to some of the pavilions participating in the exhibition, he praised the efforts of the organisers of the exhibition, which is held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani, which reflects the care given by the wise leadership to the real estate sector and work on its development in order to boost the private sector and enhance its role in achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 by building a diversified, prosperous and sustainable economy.
The minister added that the exhibition presents an integrated picture of the renaissance of the real estate sector in the State of Qatar.
HE the Minister said that the Ministry of Justice is participating in Cityscape to bring legal and real estate services closer to the beneficiaries, investors and the public, especially in light of the modernisation and development of legal legislation to improve the business environment and facilitate real estate investment, as cabinet decision No 28 of 2020 was activated defining the areas in which non-Qataris may own and benefit from real estate, terms and conditions and controls and the advantages and procedures for their ownership and use of them, and real estate brokerage procedures have been activated and the qualification of licensed Qatari real estate brokers, who will be a boost to the Qatari real estate sector.
HE the Minister indicated that the offices of non-Qatari real estate provide their services in accordance with state of the art systems.
HE the Minister added that the real estate registration and documentation sector, through the offices foreign service centres, provide the necessary facilities for the real estate sector in the country.
