Qatar Chamber board member Ibtihaj al-Ahmadani, who is also chairperson of Qatari Businesswomen Forum, met with the President of Arab-Russian Business Council, Tatyana Gvilava, at the chamber’s Doha headquarters yesterday.
The meeting discussed economic and commercial relations between the Qatari private sector and its Russian counterpart and ways of enhancing them. The two officials also discussed the investment climate in both countries and urged businessmen from both sides to establish mutual investments.
Al-Ahmadani lauded the economic relations between Qatar and Russia, citing the successful participation of Qatar Chamber in the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2021), which took place in June 2021 as part of the State of Qatar’s participation in the forum as ‘guest country’.
She noted that the forum witnessed many meetings between Qatari and Russian businessmen for the establishment of mutual investments in both countries. Al-Ahmadani said Qatar Chamber is looking forward to strengthening co-operation between Qatar and Russian companies by forging economic and commercial alliances for the benefit of both countries’ economies.
Gvilava said Russian businessmen are keen to learn more about Qatar’s investment climate and the opportunities available in all sectors. She assured that Russia offers many opportunities that would attract Qatari investors.
